OUR IDEAS DETERMINE OUR LIVES (545 words)

We should never forget the power of ideas to change our lives and indeed, to change the world. Nothing else has ever changed us or changed the world. Nothing.
Consider for a moment that everything you see came from an idea.. Every product you use in your life came from an idea. Every good part of your character came from an idea you incarnated. Even this great country and system of politics we have enjoyed and that has created this great American balance between freedom and responsibility came from an idea.
Take the phrase, “We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal and are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, including the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
Such a statement made in the 1700s would be laughable in most countries of the world. How dare these fools to think we are as important as the king and queen! It was a revolutionary idea! And this document says there’s no need of proving it scientifically. It is “self evident.” Beyond argument.
It grew a country and a way of life. It is so important and effective because it says God created us this way. It ennobles all men to believe that they are of equal value as every person in the world. Not more important, but of equal value. You can grow a great way of inter-acting among people by planting such an idea in their heads.
An idea that can make everyone of equal value and making that the basic tenet of your political system clearly shows the power of an idea.
This part of our founding documents actually says the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is an “inalienable” right. “Inalienable” means it cannot be denied. We m lives ust all respect it because it is “self-evident” and “Inalienable.”
So it was a big idea that made American stand out among the family of nations and advance forward on all fronts. It is not based on statistics of any kind of scientific proof. It is a divine thing. It ties into our concept of God and what God wants to see in our and relationships.
So what does this fundamental truth have to do with our personal lives? What it means to us personally is that big ideas make us big, good ideas make us good, and wonderful ideas make life wonderful.
Think about some trait you have that has helped you be successful and you can trace it back to an idea someone or some experience caused you to incarnate in your life.
The way we advance, day by day, is through how well we incorporate big ideas into our lives.
If you can develop one good power in your life it absolutely must be the way to nurture your ideas and shape them into instruments that enhance life, liberty and your own personal pursuit of happiness.
Every good idea is one of your personal servants. Your ideas are the building blocks of your real life.
In a word, our ideas determine the quality of our lives. Isn’t that magnificent?!
